Clinton River October 22nd 2014

Fished the Mighty C for a few hours this late afternoon...saw some guys here from the Forum; Stonedfly, Dave Watson and a few others. Fished with Grant, Bill, Brian and Big Dave today. Bill hooked up a few short lived battles and I hooked up 3 good fights with one confirmed carp, one confirmed steelie and one what looked like a fresh king. The river has dropped a hair but has cleared up quite a bit. The fly of choice today was a stonefly and the fish were hitting these pretty solid! We enjoyed this beautiful fall day and the company was great and many a laugh today. There are a few fish if your willing to pay some time threading the needle and finding a willing feeder or taker. I will be offering Fall and Winter Guided Steelhead Trips locally and of course the up-north float trips are still open for one or two anglers. Enjoy this fresh fall air and wet a line when you can and better yet wet a net just as often as you can!

Kindest Regards,

Kip

Some steel from the C from last year and years prior
