Trout Opener 2014

Enjoy the Trout Opener Everyone and remember to give plenty of space to your fellow angler out there. Its been a long winter and the trout are hungry so get out there on your favorite water and turn some heads. Tis the season for new beginnings and new selective trout. Apply various techniques to these cold water brutes and remember to practice Catch and Release as often as you can! The steelhead fishing is still very HOT on our Northern Rivers and the trout are also showing signs of active feeding as well. Our local systems have had some nice stockings as of late with our local gem continuing the year to year natural reproduction. We would love to hear from you to see how your opener went and feel free to post as many pics as you wish. We will be out tomorrow AM at a few select spots and will most definitely provide a report with some hopeful pics of some nice browns or rainbows. Been gearing up today after filling fly orders and shipping them out....looks like a beautiful day tomorrow with some good water clarity with some needed rain which we got today. The streamer bite may be tough tomorrow with predicted clear skies and lots of sunshine but other techniques should work well. Enjoy!
