Low but Stained 4/16/14

Got out for an hour or two this afternoon and found a few suckers and lost what I believe was a short lived steel. The water is running at 425 cfs and dropping fast. Very few suckers in some runs that I fished which tells me that the lower water after the
higher discharge has moved them out. No carp or quill back today as I was hoping to hit a few this season. The crowds are down and the day was gorgeous but most of the fish have spawned or are in the process right now. The morning and early evening bite should be where its at for the few elusive steel at the present time. A rain may bring in another push here yet but the water is warming quick at between 52 and 54 degrees. Hope to get out tomorrow and good Friday and will have more reports for you all...keep the good faith and trout fishing is the next season here for a good majority of us.
