Tied flies with Justin this afternoon and then we decided to hit the river for a late afternoon/evening fish. We got into the warm water species this afternoon with two walleye, a large red horse and a carp which was brought to shore but the fly popped and he shook loose back into the depths of the Clinton. We hit around 6 fish including white suckers for a few hours of fishing. Unfortunately no steel but a great time out with the Percidae, Cyprinidae and Catostomidae. The water is up to 52 degrees but with the cooler weather coming in it should remain stable or drop a degree or two which will help maintain steel in the system. Best of action out there!

It was good to take a break from the vise and beach some fish. Always a good day when you can hit the water at any given time and catch fish. I apologize for losing your pig carp.

No worries...I consider it a land since we had the head out of the water and a hand on the leader. Good fish today!
