Clinton River 4/14/14

The Clinton is running at ~483 cfs and the fish are still active through out the system. I will be heading out shortly this morning for a few hours and will have an extended report for you. The suckers are mostly in in full force and a few walleye are still being caught as well. The carp and pike should show up as the water warms just a tad bit more. Look for some more rain to trigger a push of steel and please remember to give plenty of room to your fellow angler or ask him/her if you can fish in near by proximity. Enjoy the short season on the Clinton and may you enjoy the trout Opener coming here real soon!

**Extended report: Fished the park this morning with Freshwater Wolf and Wolf put on a clinic with at least 12 suckers or so and I caught a few as well. No steel but a few short lived battles that may have been steel. The water is up and heavily stained and it was very windy out with a hard wood that fell across the street. Use caution out there today and you may need to move around to locate these fish. Pictured here is a silver red horse a lesser common sucker in the Clinton caught this morning by Freshwater Wolf.
