Clinton 1/7/12

Fished the Clinton at yates saturday for about two hours, water was about normal level and there were more people there than expected, this could be because we didn't get there until around 1pm. I hit 3 different holes with no takers until the last hole, which was slower moving and a bit shallower (approx 5ft). Ended up going one for one on a nice chrome hen, maybe 5lbs, the fish took an egg fly under a float on the 4th cast and was very spunky, I had to cross the river and battle it for about 8minutes, I thought the fish was significantly larger. I didn't see any other hook-ups. It was a beautiful day on the river with the added bonus of a nice chrome hen.

Nice.

Great picture. Hope you let it go so that your son could catch her some day.
