Winter Stonefly Search

Hello Stream Stewards!

Just a friendly reminder that CRWC’s Stonefly Search is coming up at the end of this month. Saturday, January 22nd CRWC and volunteers will be searching for winter stoneflies at 10:00am. We will meet at Yates Park in Rochester Hills, and end the day with a complimentary hot lunch.

You can register for this event by calling our office at 248-601-0606 or sending an email to contact@crwc.org. It’s a great opportunity to explore and learn about our local rivers in the winter time!

Thanks and we’ll see you on the river!

P.S. CRWC is also holding a General Bug I.D. workshop on January 19th at Bass Pro Shops in Auburn Hills (see flyer for more information). This would be a great time to brush up on macroinvertebrate identification for the stonefly search!
